Join Model D Media and the New Economy Initiative for a High Growth Happy Hour talk featuring entreprenuers who have launched and scaled design companies in our region. We’re excited to host this event alongside the Detroit Design Festival.

We’re thrilled to have the following guests join us!

Randy Rubin, Founder & Co-chair of Crypton Fabrics

Starting nearly 25 years ago from nothing more than a vision, she has built powerhouse brands Crypton and later Crypton Home Fabric, industry leaders in contract and residential indoor performance textiles. Hers were the first to be made soft, beautiful and sophisticated in addition to their “super-powers.”

Along the way she purchased apparel fabric innovator Nanotex. Today, Crypton’s technologies are as ubiquitous as they are impressive. Chances are you’ve enjoyed them in your home, your professional or athleisure wardrobe, in a hotel, restaurant, theater or stadium. Earlier this year Berkley Capital, LLC acquired the majority stake in The Crypton Companies, allowing Randy the freedom to hit the road as Brand Ambassador, sharing her inspiring story of inventiveness, perseverance and ultimately, success.
