Chanel Stitt is a communications associate for the New Economy Initiative. In her role, Chanel contributes to social media and communications strategy, storytelling about NEI’s impact, newsletter planning, and copy editing. She also takes photos and participates in any special project work with the NEI team and the community. Chanel comes from a journalism background and previously worked at the Detroit Free Press where she covered small businesses in metro Detroit. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and obtained a Master of Science degree in communications from Syracuse University.
