Pamela Lewis’s job with the New Economy Initiative is to focus on high-tech, high-growth projects.
Those include an $875,000 grant to the Auto Harvest Foundation, a TechTown-based nonprofit that provides an online meeting place for automakers and auto suppliers, advanced manufacturers and national labs to license or find intellectual property.
It also includes helping oversee two $5 million grants for Invest Detroit, a nonprofit created by Business Leaders for Michiganthat manages $110 million in funds and tax credits to support business expansion and real estate development. READ MORE
