Let’s talk about accelerating the creative economy in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. The Detroit Creative Corridor Center launched the Creative Ventures business acceleration program 1 year ago with support from the New Economy Initiative for Southeast Michigan. Now heading into its second year, the program seeks a fresh round of early stage creative sector businesses to engage, challenge and support.

Some background: the DC3’s Creative Ventures is a year-long, business development program for creative sector entrepreneurs in Detroit. Selected Creative Ventures participants receive 1-1 mentoring, project management support and coaching with professional leaders and experts. Additionally, participants join a community of like-minded creatives where idea sharing, peer reviews and collaboration are a part of the everyday culture. Creative Ventures have access to dedicated, collaborative studio space in the Detroit Creative Corridor Center for the duration of 1-year the program.
