AfroTech, an annual forum hosted by Los Angeles media company Blavity Inc., will hold its first regional tech conference Aug.18 at Cobo Center. The event will gather about 400 founders, techies and employees of fast-growing startups and highlight Detroit’s African-American entrepreneurs in the industry. It will feature workshops, panels and networking opportunities across two days, a news release said.
