We are pleased to present this year’s NEIdeas $10k Challenge winners!
Last night, the New Economy Initiative (NEI) awarded the small business winners of this year’s NEIdeas: Rewarding Ideas for Business Growth $10k Challenge. The winning businesses — who are from across Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park — received $10,000 each for their inspiring ideas for growth. Businesses ranged from auto service shops to manufacturing companies, restaurants and beyond.

The diverse group of winners – with 68% minority owned and 71% women owned businesses – were narrowed down from over 500 applicants received from every corner of the city. Most importantly, by applying to NEIdeas, all applicants will now gain access to resources, connections to other entrepreneurs and exposure to help them grow their businesses.
