Within months of receiving cash awards in the first-ever NEIdeas $500,000 challenge competition last year, Omega Wiring of Detroit upgraded its wheels to a Dodge Ram truck from an old Freestar minivan; Pronko Enterprises of Hamtramck found new catering customers; and Sherwood Prototype of Highland Park was making plastic prototypes for Shinola leather goods.
Today, year two of the “NEIdeas: Rewarding Ideas for Business Growth” project kicks off by accepting applications from existing small businesses in Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck to compete for 32 more cash awards. Read more.
